Travel suggestions (by plane)
If you are coming to ALEX98 by plane we suggest that you reach Verona airport .
Verona is only one hour from Trento, with a convenient bus and train service. If you take the train, jump onto a bus at the airport (about one bus every 20 minutes), you will reach the Verona train station in 10-15 minutes. The train trip lasts 50 min, get off at the station at Trento. The station is very close to most hotels (some of them can be easily reached by a two-three minutes walk).
There are also some busses that bring you directly to Trento from the airport: they are the ideal transportation but not so frequent (they are immediately outside the main building: look for the timetable, if is is appropriate jump onto the bus, otherwise jump onto the bus for the train station, the departure area is the same).
There are now flights to Verona from the major European cities (London, Munchen, etc.), from Rome and from Milan.
In our opinion, avoid changing airport at Milano (from Malpensa to Linate) : that can be stressing after a long trip. Fog is common for that region in the workshop period and ... you may end up landing at some other airport. By the way, taxis are a (legal) rip-off!
